The Language Acquisition State Grants Program ensures that English language learner (ELL) children learn academic English, develop high levels of academic achievement and meet the same challenging state academic standards as all children. The program assists states, school districs, and higher education institutions in building capacity, including upgrading curricula, and providing teacher training opportunities to more effectively teach ELL students.
